Summer Festival This Weekend in Franklin Park

The festival, hosted by the Spina Bifida Association of Western Pennsylvania, will be held at Blueberry Hill Park.

Suebert and Associates is sponsoring this year's summer festival benefitting the Spina Bifida Association of Western Pennsylvania (SBAWP).

The festival is Saturday, Aug. 10 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Blueberry Hill Park in Franklin Park.

This family-friendly festival features games, activities, and live music.  Tickets are $10 per person (children 5 or under free). These tickets can be ordered at www.sbawp.org or by calling 724-934-9600. Organizers recommend reserving tickets in advance, but they will be available at the event.

All proceeds benefit SBAWP programs which help people of all ages with spina bifida and disabilities to live happy, healthy, productive and independent lives.

There’s something for everyone at the Summer Festival.  Kids can enjoy things like glitter tattoos, candy straws, Spin the Wheel (for prizes), spin art and playing in the bounce houses.  The Pirate Parrot will make an appearance, and the North Star Kids and the TheraDancers will perform.

Everyone can show off their singing at karaoke, take a chance on some great auction baskets or playing bingo, or just relax and enjoy the performers who will be entertaining us in a “concert in the park” throughout the day.
