Annual Hometown Heroes Wreath Laying

Held December 6, 2025 at Union Cemetery, Richboro PA

The Northampton Township Veterans Advisory Commission was pleased to present the Annual Hometown Heroes Wreath Laying to honor all first responders and military interned at the Union Cemetery located 209 Almshouse Rd., Richboro, PA 18954. Union Cemetery dates back to 1855 and has many U.S. Military buried on site. However, Union Cemetery is a community Cemetery open to all backgrounds. Burial of anyone of any Religion (Non-Sectarian) with Military or non-Military backgrounds are welcome. The ceremony began 11:00AM at the cemetery. Members of the Northampton Township Police, Fire and EMS attended.

The 22 minute ceremony was well attended and was emceed by Jim Gallagher. The Colors were posted and the Rifle Salute were presented by the Marine Corps League Patriot Detachment 1230, the Anthem and Amazing Grace was sung by Hailey Brown and the keynote speaker was Matt Sklodowski President of the Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Company. The Invocation and Benediction was given by Father Steve Paolino of St. Vincent’s Church.
