Camouflaged Egg Hikes For Kids To Explore Nature At Churchville Center
Instead of racing to collect colorful eggs and capture the prize eggs, kids will first learn about wildlife and camouflage.

CHURCHVILLE, PA — The Churchville Nature Center will send youngsters on a unique hunt for camouflaged eggs on Sunday, March 17 (rain or shine).
Instead of racing to collect colorful eggs and capture the prize eggs, kids registered for the “Camouflaged Egg Hike” will first learn about wildlife and camouflage through demonstrations and live animals.
The kids will then use their observation skills outdoors to spot and tally dozens of camouflaged eggs that will be strategically hidden high and low, throughout the gardens. Afterwards, kids will compare their tallied findings with the total numbers of hidden eggs, and every 'Egg-splorer” will go home with a wildlife prize.

“In spring the woods, fields and ponds are alive with sounds and signs of wildlife – yet we rarely see them. Why?” asks Susan Slawinski, public events coordinator for the Churchville Nature Center. “Camouflage is a visual way for animals and their young to blend in with their surroundings. Children will learn about this then practice using their observation skills on the hike.”
The “Camouflaged Egg Hike” is designed for children between the ages of 4 through 9. The
