Campfire, Night Hike To Be Held At Churchville Nature Center
The 'Worm Moon Walk & Campfire' will offer a warm fire and a night hike by the 'worm moon', named for earthworms emerging from the ground.
CHURCHVILLE, PA — The Churchville Nature Center will be hosting the first 'Worm Moon Walk & Campfire' of the year on the night of Friday, March 18.
The yearly event will give participants the chance to enjoy an evening of campfire treats and a nighttime walk through the nature center. The event is scheduled to take place during the 'worm moon', the name of the full moon in March "which was originally thought to refer to the earthworms that appear as the soil warms in spring," according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.
"Toast some marshmallows and walk the trails under the light of the Worm Moon," the Facebook event page said.
