Former Northampton Township Fire Chief Passes Away AT 75
George Joseph Festa, who served as a Fire Chief for the Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Company, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 27
NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — George Joseph Festa, who served as a Fire Chief for the Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Company in the late 1970's and early 1980's, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 27 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 75.
Festa, who was born in Philadelphia, served his country with distinction in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he survived a Prison of War experience before returning home.
He continued his mission to protect his community during the late 70's and early 80's, when he served as Fire Chief to the Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Department. He worked out of Station 3 in Richboro.

He is survived by his son James Stein and his wife Virginia of Douglassville, PA, his daughter Carrie Stein of Churchville, and his seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Festa was proceeded in passing by his wife of 34 years, Janice Arlene Wellings Festa, who passed away in 2o2o. He was also preceded by his parents, Samuel J. and Catherine Ansert Festa, as well as his brother, Kenneth.

Friends and relatives are invited to see Festa's family on Monday, Dec. 3 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, located on 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. in Richboro.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m., followed by the interment in a private ceremony.
