National Night Out Wants You

For 30 years the National Night Out program has been a way for citizens to fight crime, and this years, to be held Tuesday, is no different. 
The Northampton Township Police Department has asked residents "to lock your doors, turn on your outside lights, and go outside and meet with neighbors and friends between the hours of 7pm and 10pm," according to a recent department post on Facebook.
Specifically the program—sponsored by the National Association of Townwatch—tries to raise awareness about crime prevention and the prevention of drug abuse.
