$1.1M Paul Skenes Baseball Card Goes On Display At Pittsburgh Mall
The unique $1.1 million Paul Skenes baseball card is now on permanent display at a Pittsburgh mall.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — The valuable, one-of-a kind Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes baseball card was officially put on display this morning at Dick's Sporting Goods House of Sport in Ross Park Mall.
The unique, autographed card features the patch Skenes wore on his jersey sleeve during his Major League debut last year. Dick's purchased it for $1.1 million at an auction in March, two months after an 11-year-old boy in California opened a pack of baseball cards and discovered the rarity.
The card is being displayed in the new collectors' space on the bottom floor of the store. Fans interested in viewing the card must have a wristband this weekend. There will be 500 wristbands issued per day through Sunday and they will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Skenes had a dynamic debut last year, starting the All Star Game for the National League and winning NL rookie of the year honors. Thus far this year, he sports a 3-4 record and a 3.77 earned run average for the woeful Pirates, who sported a 12-26 record going into Friday and fired manager Derek Shelton on Thursday.
