Allegheny County Parks and Recreation Offers Free Swimming Lessons

Children must be five years or older to take the free swimming lessons. Classes begin July 5 at North Park.

The Allegheny County Parks Department is offering free swimming lessons at several of the county pools including nearby North Park.

Lessons will be offered from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Boyce, North, Settlers Cabin and South parks.

Children must be five years or older to take the free swimming lessons. You do not need to pre-register for these classes.

Please take note; they have a lesson system according to last names. Those individuals whose last names begin with the letters A through K, will start lessons on Tuesday, July 5th and meet on July 12, 19, and 26.

Individuals whose last names begin with the letters L through Z will start on Thursday, July 7 and attend classes also on July 14, 21, and 28.
