Two child-care supervisors are needed to oversee the children and other volunteers in a group child-care setting while their mothers attend life-skills training.
Responsibilities include ensuring other volunteer behavior is appropriate behavior with the children, monitoring the children's behavior and interactions, disciplining children when needed, taking children to the restroom, pairing volunteers and children for clean-up duties at the end of the night, communicating with mothers regarding special circumstances that occur through the evening (e.g., sickness, drinks/snacks, behavior, injury), providing food and beverages and organizing snack time.
You must be at least 21 to volunteer. Other qualifications include a clear criminal record, experience working with children and good people skills.

The time commitment is two to three hours at least one Monday evening per month.
Training will include an interview with the Volunteer Manager and general orientation to HEARTH and the transitional housing program, orientation to position during a child-care session and follow-up training as needed.
