Thanks to former Steelers football player Mike Wagner and Country Western singer Bill Campbell for Visiting Our Residents!
Many thanks to all who helped us with our National Assisted Living Week celebration. Each day was busier than the one before.
Our residents had a wonderful time as we shared with them and our staff a week long celebration. A carnival, ice cream specials, pizza and sweet treats for all.
Joe Lege played Italian and Mary Anne Lane played classical music. We ended our week with a special visit from former Steelers football player Mike Wagner and Country Western singer Bill Campbell playing country at our tailgate party.

Mike played for the Pittsburgh Steelers back in the 1970s. He is the proud owner of four Super Bowl rings. He was awesome at his job as safety on the famous front line — better known to all as the Steel Curtain.
Mike made a special presentation to our resident, Elva Mae Bloss, who is an avid Steelers fan. This was a "Hearts Desire" for Mae and a special treat for us all. Mike was very generous with his time. He showed us a film and brought pictures which he signed for our resients and staff.

Mae was 90 years old this past May. Being of an older age does not stop you from being a fan of the six-time winning Super Bowl Champions. Her Steelers-mania continues in her older years. Her room is decorated with Steeler memorabilia of all sorts.
Way to go Mike Wagner, way to go Elva Mae — Way to go Steelers!
