Provide Companionship at Assisted Living, Nursing Homes

Volunteers are needed to visit personal care, assisted living and nursing homes to spend time with patients who don’t receive a lot of company.

Volunteers also visit patients in home settings.  They are there to provide companionship or to give the caregiver a break.  This can be done on a weekly visit or as the caregiver requests.

No incontinence care or medication distribution is required.

No volunteer is asked to travel more then 10 – 15 miles from their home.

Volunteers are asked to work one to two hours per week.

An application will be sent to the interested party. There will be a background check and a 45-minute orientation at a location convenient to the volunteer.  The volunteer coordinator will accompany the volunteer on the first assignment.
