Are You Signed Up? North Hills Offering New, Free Before/After School Programs

In reaction to the North Hills School District's new arrival and dismissal times, the district is offering new, free before and after school programs at the district's four elementary schools.

McIntyre & Ross Elementary Schools. (Before School)

Parents who wish to have their student participate in the program must preregister by utilizing the NHSD Before-School Program registration form. The completed form must be returned to your student’s school office no later than August 23, 2013.  Building offices are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on all weekdays.

Preregistration for the NHSD Before-School Program is necessary to ensure sufficient staff is available to supervise our students. Only students who have preregistered will be permitted to use this program. Students who are not preregistered will not be accepted into the program for any reason. 

The district will continue to offer its Morning Care program at McIntyre and Ross elementary schools from 7:30 to 8:55 a.m. The cost per child for the Morning Care program remains $3 per day. 

The Before-School Program will operate on regular school days when the Morning Care program also is offered.

Highcliff and West View Elementary Schools (After School)

Parents who wish to have their student participate in the program must preregister by utilizing the NHSD After-School Program registration form. The form must be returned to your student’s school office by August 23, 2013. Building offices are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on all weekdays.

Students who are not preregistered will not be accepted into the program for any reason.

The program will operate on days that the YMCA after-school program is in session and will end promptly at 3:30 p.m. Students who also are registered for the YMCA after-school program will be released to attend that program at 3:30 p.m.The YMCA offers after-school care at all elementary buildings until 6 p.m.  

All students who are utilizing the NHSD After-School Program will need to be picked up by a parent at or before 3:30 p.m.
