Back to School: North Hills Middle School Orientation Scheduled

The first day of school in the North Hills School district is Tuesday, Aug. 27

The following information was provided by North Hills School District Communications Coordinator Amanda Hartle

Below is a list of important, upcoming events for the North Hills Middle School.

August 8
Seventh-Grade Orientation: 

  • 8 a.m. - Team Earth
  • 10 a.m. - Team Fire
  • 1 p.m. - Team Wind
Please be sure to bring your child's schedule to their scheduled team orientation on August 8. Schedules were mailed to students in mid-July. Your child will receive their locker assignment and combination at their orientation. 

August 15

Eighth-Grade New Student Orientation

Makeup Orientation for seventh-graders who were not able to attend August 8.

SCHEDULING QUESTIONS

If you have questions regarding your child's schedule, please contact their grade-level counselor via email or phone. Please note that counselors do not work in the summer, but they will return on August 21 and will begin addressing scheduling questions/concerns on August 22. If a schedule change is deemed necessary, your child will receive an updated schedule on the first day of school.

 

BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING

As you begin back to school shopping with your child, please take a few moments to review the following located on the Middle School website:

  • 7th Grade Supply List - Located under "7th Grade Information" Quick Link
  • Dress Code Policy - Located in Student Handbook & Guide for Parents, located under the "Communications" Quick Link for Published Material
  • 8th Grade Supply List - Distributed to students on the first day of school by the eighth-grade teachers

LOCKERS

Students will receive a "Locker Directions" handout on the first day of school with their locker number and combination. Students are reminded that their locker combinations should be kept confidential in order to ensure their materials are secure throughout the school day.
