Bed Bath & Beyond Closing Pittsburgh-Area Store

Bed Bath & Beyond announced the closing of 37 stores. One is in the Pittsburgh area.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — The Bed Bath & Beyond on McKnight Road is one of two stores the chain is shuttering in Pennsylvania as the initial part of a downsizing plan. About 200 stores will be shuttered this year, with the two locations in the state among the first 37 that have begun liquidation salesand will close by the end of February.

The other Pennsylvania location that will close is in York.

Bed Bath & Beyond is the remodeling 450 stores, about half of its locations, at a cost of $250 million to try to stem falling sales. Shoppers have turned to competitors such as Target and Amazon is recent years.

  • Route 19, Cranberry
  • Quinn Drive, North Fayette
  • Village Square Mall, Bethel Park
  • William Penn Highway, Monroeville
  • Freeport Road, Waterworks Mall
