Blood Drive to be Held Saturday for Son of Ross/West View Paramedic

Stevie McCurry was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia and is undergoing treatment at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

A bone marrow screening and replenishment blood drive for nine-year-old Stevie McCurry, the son of Ross/West View EMS paramedic John McCurry, is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. at in Moon Township. 

. Known as AML, the cancer is rare in those younger than 40, according to the National Institutes of Health. It attacks bone marrow, which helps the body fight infections.
