Contractor Clips Sprinkler Triggering Flood that Closes Ross Gym
Firefighters quickly shut off the water and are assisting in drying out the gym.
A contractor working on a renovation job in a vacant storefront in the Pine Plaza Shopping center accidentally cut a fire sprinkler head, unleashing water onto BodyTech Gym below.
Firefighters from Highland Station 186, Perrysville Station 248 and Laurel Gardens responded to the scene shortly after Noon and managed to get the water shut off quickly.
No one was hurt. The gym is temporarily closed until the water can be removed.
