Emily Kinkead Bests Matt Kruth To Regain PA 20th District Seat

The Democratic incumbent had an easy evening against her Republican challenger.

SOUTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Democratic incumbent state Rep. Emily Kinkead easily won re-election in the 20th legislative district Tuesday by trouncing Republican challenger Matt Kruth.

According to the Allegheny County elections division, with 98.3 percent of the vote counted, Kinkead had 17,385 votes to Kruth's 11,151. All results are unofficial until verified by the election division.

Kinkead, an attorney, recently told the League of Women Voters that her priorities "are and will continue to be criminal justice reform, ending gun violence, and growing the economy."

The 20th Legislative District contains Ross, Avalon, West View, Bellevue, and the Perry North neighborhood in Pittsburgh.
