Fast-Pitch Softball Tourney, Kids Triathlon Highlight Week Ahead

Here are 5 things you need to know for the week ahead in Ross Township and West View.

1. Ross Township Commissioners Meeting

Monday, Aug. 5, Commissioners meeting room, Ross Municipal Center. Committee meeting @ 6:30 p.m., regular meeting @ 7:30 p.m. See entire agenda here.

2. NHAA Attack at the Mac Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament

Monday, Aug 5, 6:00 p.m. at McIntyre Elementary Field. The area's only softball tournament on turf! More details here

3. That Guy with the Birds

Friday, Aug. 9, 6:30 p.m., Northland Public Library. Join us on Library Grounds under the tent with John Lege, that guy with the birds, as he brings his feathery friends to perform for our Summer Reading Club members and their families. More information here.

4. Habitat for Humanity 13th Annual Kids Triathlon

Saturday, Aug. 10, 7 a.m., North Park. Young athletes ages 7-15 will swim, bike, and run to the finish line to raise money for the affordable housing programs of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh! Athletes of all abilities are encouraged to participate! More details here. 

5. 5th Annual Summer Festival

Benefitting Spina Bifida Association of Western Pennsylvania, Saturday Aug. 10, 1 p.m. Blueberry Hill Park, Franklin Park. Cost is $10 and children 5 and under are free.  There will be live music, games, bounce houses, sports competitions & more! Read more about the event here.
