Fire Heavily Damages Popular Ross Restaurant
A two-alarm blaze will keep the restaurant closed indefinitely.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — Chili's on McKnight Road will be closed indefinitely after a fire tore through the restaurant Sunday morning.
The blaze broke out at around 9 a.m., according to the Undercliff Volunteer Fire Company. Crews found heavy smoke coming from the roof area upon their arrival. When firefighters opened the roof, they found an intense fire in a void space between the roof and the interior dropped ceiling.
A second alarm was requested when firefighters had difficulty extinguishing the blaze. Perrysville and the Peebles District were among the fire companies that provided assistance.

The fire was brought under control in about an hour.
No injuries were reported. The restaurant was unoccupied at the time.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
