First North Hills Strings Camp Attracts Elementary and Junior High Students

Thirty North Hills school district elementary and junior high school string instrumentalists attended the first North Hills Strings Camp, held at North Hills Junior High School July 11 through July 15.

The camp was led by North Hills School District music faculty and music alumni and was sponsored by the North Hills Instrumental Parents Association (IPA). Campers enjoyed string technique workshops, music education games, world drumming, performances and coaching by guest musicians, and playing in an all-camp ensemble with faculty and alumni. The North Hills String Camp is expected to become an annual event.
