Hugh J. McGowan, 56, of the North Side, died Friday, June 17, 2011.
He is survived by his wife Carol (Halas) McGowan; daughter Abbie McGowan; and sister Kathleen (Jimmy) Martin. McGowan will also be missed by his long-time canine companions, Hailey and Maggie.
The family welcomed friends 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at , Inc., 388 Center Avenue in West View. Friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at noon Monday, June 20, 2011 then proceed to St. Mary's Cemetery, Mt. Troy Road, for a Chapel Service.

McGowan was a member of the Spring Garden Sportsmen's Club.
