Man Sentenced To Prison For Deadly Pittsburgh Crash That Killed 2

A man involved in a fatal crash that killed two of the occupants of the vehicle he was driving learned his fate Monday.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A Richland man will spend up to five years in prison in connection with a deadly crash last year that killed two of his friends.

Aidan Saber, 19, received the sentence from Allegheny County Common Pleas Court Judge Kelley Bigley after pleading guilty Monday to manslaughter and homicide by vehicle charges. He also will serve four years of probation.

The Dec. 23 crash occurred on Irwin Road in McCandless near Babcock Boulevard. Police said Saber was behind the wheel of his mother's SUV and traveling at a high speed when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.

Ambridge High School student Taylor Orlowski, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jonathan Tourney, 14, a Pine-Richland High School freshman, was flown to an area hospital where he died.
