Nightly lane closures are planned between Babcock Boulevard and Perrymont Road starting Friday at 8 p.m.

Construction work originally scheduled to begin Monday night on 4.6 miles of McKnight Road between Babcock Boulevard and Perrymont Road will start instead Friday night at 8 p.m., Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials said.

Overall work will conclude in fall 2011. The prime contractor is Lindy Paving, Inc. of New Castle, PA.
