About: The day's events include a flea market, which starts at 8 a.m., an Artisan/Craft Market, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., interactive Nature Printing with Vicki starting at 11 a.m., the Car Cruise on Bayne Avenue from noon to 4 p.m., a Bike/Scooter Decorating Contest in Bayne Park for children between the ages of three and 14 (starts at noon), and merchant sidewalk sales in the Lincoln Avenue business district.

You can also meet artist Nancy Bush at Matthews Arts, visit the Hermann Museum, and bowl a game of Duck-Pin.

SUNDAY, JUNE 26
Hive & the Honey Bees
Time: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Place: Harrison Hills Park Environmental Learning CenterNatrona Heights, PA 15065
About: Friends of Harrison Hills Park will be hosting “Hive & the Honey Bees” with Bill Kopar. Kopar, owner of Kopar Honey Farm in Fawn Township, has been managing bees since 1998 and will speak on a variety of honey-bee-related topics, such as where honey comes from, a bee’s importance in the ecosystem, and the health benefits of cooking with honey. Weather permitting, an observation hive will be on display, and participants will be able to hold the glass frame encasing 3,000 bees, or a fifteenth of those found in a working hive.
Attendance for this event is limited to 40 people, so reservations are required. A $3 donation is suggested, which will go towards support of the Environmental Learning Center’s various activities.
