More McKnight Road Traffic Headaches On The Way
Tired of McKnight Road lane closures? Then you won't like what PennDOT is planning along the busy road.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — Nightly lane closures will resume on McKnight Road beginning Thursday evening, PennDOT has announced. McKnight will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between the Evergreen Road/Babcock Boulevard interchange and Perrymont Road as needed nightly from 8 p.m.to 6 a.m. through late September.
Motorists will still have access to the businesses and side streets along the corridor as milling and paving occurs.
Additional nightly closures are expected in the upcoming weeks, with further details provided closer to the dates.

The work is part of the $27 million McKnight Road improvement project. Work will include bridge and culvert preservation, milling and paving, base repairs, drainage upgrades and repairs, pipe cleaning, guide rail, signal, and ADA ramp upgrades, waterline replacement, concrete mountable curb replacement and new signage and pavement markings between Venture Street and Perrymont Road, including the Babcock Boulevard-Evergreen Road ramps.
Before work concludes next spring, restrictions will also include a 12-day closure of the Nelson Run Road interchange, two weekend closures at the Venture Street intersection, and several overnight ramp closures for paving operations and structure repairs.
