New Ross BJ's Wholesale Club Offering Memberships

BJ's, a rival to Costco and Sam's Club, is preparing to open a second Pittsburgh location.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — The new BJ's Wholesale Club at The Block Northway is getting closer to opening and is accepting memberships. The membership trailer is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. -7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

According to a Block Northway release, those joining now for $55 will get a $40 BJ's gift card loaded onto their membership card.

The club is expected to open in early spring. The hours will be 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

The club currently has 223 locations, 154 gas stations, 6 million members and does $12.7 billion in annual sales, according to its website.

BJ's says it offers 25 percent or more savings on a representative basket of manufacturer-branded groceries compared to traditional supermarket competitors. BJ's provides a curated assortment focused on perishable products, continuously refreshed general merchandise, gas and other ancillary services.
