North Hills Divers and Swimmer Headed to State Championships

Brian Lovasik's time in the 200-yard Freestyle shattered a 26-year-old North Hills School District record.

Two North Hills High School divers and one swimmer are slated to compete at the PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships on March 14 to 16 at Bucknell University in Lewisburg after qualifying at the WPIAL AAA Swimming and Diving Championships held at the University of Pittsburgh.

Divers Noah Bostick finished second and Ryan Kennedy placed fourth at the recent WPIAL Championships. Noah is seeded fourth among the 30 state competitors.

Swimmer Brian Lovasik, placed second in the 100-yard Freestyle with a time of 47:09 and third in the 200-yard Freestyle with a record-breaking time of 1:43:27 at the WPIAL Championships.

He is ranked 14th in Pennsylvania for both events.
