North Hills Gets New Mexican Restaurant

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — Fajita Pete's, a Houston-based fast casual Mexican restaurant chain, has opened its first Pennsylvania location in The Block Northway.

Specializing in handmade Tex-Mex favorites, Fajita Pete’s offerings feature made-to-order flame-grilled beef, chicken, shrimp, and veggies in a tangy, citrusy mixture, fresh tortillas and fresh flautas, and made from scratch sides including rice, beans, salsa, guacamole and queso.

The Pittsburgh eatery is the third of eight new locations the chain plans for 2024, and the first of

four planned for Pittsburgh. Fajita Pete's last year announced it had closed of the four-unit restaurant agreement with Chris and Brittny Mabry of Pittsburgh.

“We are incredibly excited to bring the flavors of authentic Tex-Mex cuisine to the heart of Pittsburgh, ” Chris Mabry said in a statement. “We’re proud that everything is made from scratch in the kitchen every day. From our grill to your table, our mission is simple: to share our passion for great food and genuine hospitality.”

The second area Fajita Pete's location is expected to be somewhere in the South Hills.
