North Hills Marching Band Preview Show Set for Aug. 19
The preview show serves as the culminating event following the week-long band camp. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.

The North Hills marching band will present its 60th annual preview show on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011. The show begins at 7 p.m. on the main field at Camp Kon-O-Kwee, rain or shine.
The preview show serves as the culminating event following the week-long band camp. Admission to the event is free and open to the public. Attendees may wish to bring chairs and/or a blanket for seating.
In addition, the marching band will host an Alumni Night to recognize the 60th Anniversary of Band Camp on Wednesday, Aug. 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Camp Kon-O-Kwee. Shows this year include the pregame show, featuring several NFL Fanfares; the 50th anniversary of our march show, which is an All-Sousa Show; a Fire Show, featuring music by Billy Joel and Earth, Wind and Fire; and a Chicago Show, featuring music from the iconic band.
The marching band is spending the week rehearsing music and perfecting marching maneuvers for the pre-game and half-time performances for the upcoming fall football and band festival seasons. Prior to arriving at Kon-O-Kwee, the band trains for five weeks during summer band and pre-band camp.
