North Hills Science Teacher Serves Great Lakes Planetarium Association
Batson has taught in North Hills School District for more than 30 years. She will host GLPA's annual meeting in Pittsburgh next October.

A North Hills Senior High School science teacher was recently named education committee chair of the Great Lakes Planetarium Association.
Susan Batson, an astronomy teacher and the school’s planetarium director, will host GLPA’s annual meeting in Pittsburgh next October.
Batson has taught in for more than 30 years. In addition to astronomy, she teaches chemistry and currently serves as the curriculum leader for the science department. As planetarium director, she coordinates several public programs throughout the year in the North Hills Senior High School’s planetarium.

Batson, who joined GLPA in 1992, was named a Fellow in 2004 in recognition for her service to the organization. In 2008, she also joined the International Planetarium Society.
As education chair for GLPA Batson will coordinate educational programs that are shared among the member planetariums.
