North Hills Wrestlers Headed to PIAA Championships

Four North Hills High School wrestlers are slated to compete at the PIAA Wrestling Championships on March 7 to 9 at the Giant Center in Hershey after qualifying at the WPIAL AAA Championship Tournament.

At the WPIAL tournament held at Norwin High School, the North Hills team placed ninth out of 48 teams, and Tyler Walker set a new North Hills School District career win record with 132 victories.

Only two other WPIAL schools sent more wrestlers to the state championships. The following students will represent North Hills at the state-level:

• Gage Curry – WPIAL Runner-up at 106 pounds
• Tyler Walker – WPIAL Third Place at 126 pounds
• Drew Walker – WPIAL Third Place at 132 pounds
• Alen Turcinhodzic – WPIAL Third Place at 195 pounds
