Oakland Man Faces Charges in 5 Ross Township Burglaries
The burglaries occurred during a two week period last fall, all within a mile of each other in Ross Township.

Ross Township Police have announced an arrest in a string of daylight burglaries which occurred within a mile of each other in the fall of 2012.
Mark English, 51, of Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood, is charged with five counts each of burglary and receiving stolen property.
Four of the burglaries, which occurred between October 17 and Nov. 1, 2012, were in neighborhoods off of Babcock Boulevard near the McCandless border. The fifth break-in was approximately three miles south of the other locations, but also just off Babcock Boulevard.
Ross police charged English after City of Pittsburgh pawn records indicated he has sold items stolen from all five burglaries. Those items included jewelry, diamond rings, and a digital camera.
According to court records, English waived his right to a preliminary hearing and is scheduled for formal arraignment on Sept. 10.
