Pearce Mill Road Closes Monday, July 11

Crews will be repairing damage done to the road in an earlier landslide.

Pearce Mill Road, near , will be closed to through traffic beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, July 11. Local traffic will still have access. 

About 2,740 vehicles use this area of Pearce Mill Road on an average day.

Traffic will be detoured using Route 910 east to Babcock Boulevard (Route 4031), north to Bakerstown-Warrendale Road (Route 4068) continuing west back to Pearce Mill Road.

The road closure will allow PennDOT crewes to repair roadway damaged in a landslide earlier this year between Route 910 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass. The $2.4 million project includes repairing and reinforcing the slope and reconstructing the road. 

The contractor performing the work is Joseph B. Fay of Russellton, PA.
