Pittsburgh-Area Restaurant Slapped With Consumer Alert

For the second time in two months, the Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for a Pittsburgh-area eatery.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for the McKnight Kitchen on McKnight Road.

A recent inspection four lo mein noodles, pad se ew noodles, raw shrimp, cooked chicken, tofu, and bean sprouts stored at an unsafe temperature in a walk-in refrigerator.

Fruit flies were found in the kitchen prep area, and food in back of upright two door freezer was encased in frozen condensate leaking from the evaporator.

A consumer alert also was issued for the restaurant in August.

The restaurant remains open.
