Police Investigate Three Burglaries in West View, Ross
Both West View Police and Ross Township Police have identified suspects and plan to file charges, according to spokesmen for both departments.

Three recent burglaries in West View and Ross—two on Ridgewood Avenue and one in Laurel Gardens—are under investigation by police.
The two in West View, which occurred Oct. 31 and Dec. 9, appear to be unrelated, according to Officer Matt Holland, West View Police Department spokesman.
It is not clear if the burglary on Dec. 12 in Laurel Gardens is related to one of the West View burglaries.

Both and have identified suspects and charges are pending, according to spokesmen for both departments.
The burglary Oct. 31 in West View occurred in the 300 block of Ridgewood Avenue between 12:30 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. A door to a second-floor apartment showed signs of pry marks around the deadbolt striker plate. A burglar pulled out and went through the drawers in dressers in the bedroom, opened a jewelry box and also went through closets, according to the police report.

Items taken included a .45-caliber Kimber handgun and a Sony PlayStation console.
On Dec. 9, a burglar forced entry to a residence in the 200 block of Ridgewood Avenue through the rear of the house between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. Dec. 10, according to the police report.
Only a jewelry box was disturbed. Items taken included an antique pocketwatch, earrings, necklaces and a military pendant, according to the police report.
The burglary in Laurel Gardens Dec. 12 also reportedly took place during the day, according to Det. Brian Kohlhepp.
That burglar also forced entry in that incident. Items taken included one television and jewelry.
Kohlhepp declined to release details about the time of the incident and the street and block where it occurred, as well as how the house was entered, citing a fear of jeopardizing an ongoing investigation.
