Police Plan to Close Part of Sewickley-Oakmont Road Tuesday Evening
The closure will last until about 2 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, police said.
A portion of Sewickley-Oakmont Road, from Perry Highway to Buckhill Road, will be closed to traffic beginning today, Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m., according to .

The closure is for construction work on the hillside at 163 Sewickley-Oakmont Road, where a landslide in April caused part of the homeowners' front yard to collapse and spill onto the well-used thoroughfare.

The work, which is being done by a contractor hired by homeowners Richard and Faith Everson, is intended to address the lower part of the hill and remove the need for the barriers on Sewickley-Oakmont Road that have been in place since the landslide, Richard Everson said.
