Popular Ross Retailer Closing Lone Pittsburgh Store
A longtime retailer has decided to exit the Pittsburgh market. Patch provides the details.
ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — A premier name in Pittsburgh-area off-price retail is closing its Pittsburgh location.
Saks Off 5th at the Block Northway is one of nine Saks locations that will close early next year. That would leave 70 locations of the store across the country.
In addition to the Block Northway closure, Saks also is shuttering stores in Philadelphia and Plymouth Meeting in Pennsylvania; Austin; Chicago; Niagara Falls; Hartford and Washington, D.C.

Saks Off 5th is the off-price version of Saks Fifth Avenue and sells designer clothes, jewelry, handbags and more for up to 70 percent off.
“We have identified opportunities to optimize our Saks Off 5th store presence, through both initiatives to drive performance and elevate the customer experience, enabling us to place greater attention to our high-performing and high-potential store locations, and refinements across our store footprint,” a Saks Global spokesperson told The U.S. Sun.
