Public Hearing on North Hills Charter School Application Set for Dec. 5.
The charter school, which would serve children in grades two through eight beginning in September 2013, intends to build a facility on Cemetery Lane in Ross Township.

The will hold a public hearing Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, regarding Provident Charter School’s application to open a charter school for students with dyslexia.
The public hearing will begin immediately following the school board’s regularly scheduled meetings, at about 8 p.m. in the large group instruction room.
The charter school, which would serve children in grades two through eight beginning in September 2013,intends to build a facility on Cemetery Lane in Ross Township.

North Hills received the charter school application Nov. 11. The district is required to conduct a public hearing within 45 days of receiving the application.
Following the hearing, the district must provide at least 45 days for public comment and, subsequently, the school board must render its decision not later than 75 days after the public hearing.
