Registration Open for Grades 7-12 Summer Classes

Classes begin July 5. Local qualified high school teachers from partnering school districts and organizations develop all courses.

The North Hills School District is accepting registrations for its summer educational programs, which offer courses for students who did not achieve a passing grade during the school year in certain classes, as well as for those wishing to gain college credits.

The district’s Online Academy, which is open to students throughout southwest Pennsylvania, is offering 40 online courses for students in grades seven through 12.

Credit recovery courses are available in math, English, science, social studies and health. The Online Academy provides full-credit enrichment courses in health, language arts, mathematics, art history, online gaming, flash animation, healthful living, lifetime fitness, strategies for academic success, thinking and learning strategies and dual enrollment courses in Chinese and Japanese, which provide students with college credit that can be transferred to universities.
