Ross Township Commissioners Meet Monday; Consider Request for New Chiropratic Office

The Ross Township Board of Commissioners meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Ross Township Municipal Building. They meet for informal discussion during committee at 6:30 p.m.

Ross Township Commissioners will consider a site plan approval request for a chiropractic office on property at 625 Lowries Run Road when they meet tonight at the . 

The meeting, which is open to the public, starts with a committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. and the board meeting at 7:30 p.m. 

The request for the site plan approval, made by Kimberly and Kerien Fitzpatrick, seeks to allow Turo Family Chiropractic to lease the top two floors of the building once used by Basket Affair, a gift basket business.

Basket Affair is maintaining an office in the building but moving to an online showroom, said its owner, Kimberly Fitzpatrick. 

The only changes to the exterior of the building requested in the site plan approval are the addition of an ADA-compliant walkway for accessibility in front of the building and an accessible doorway in the back.

"We're doing some very minimal interior changes," Fitzpatrick said.  

The lot is 43,560 square feet and in an area zoned as a C-2 commercial district in the 4th Ward. It is a short distance from the  shopping plaza. 

The site has an existing 16-foot-by-10-foot parking lot with 13 spaces. 

The site plan was approved by the Ross Township Planning Commission in September. 

Also on Monday's agenda: 

* Resolution No. 2045 – Appointing Kratzenberg & Associates, Inc., d/b/a Keystone Collections Group as the exclusive current and delinquent collector of Ross Township local services taxes and authorizing Ross Township to enter into an agreement establishing the terms of collection.

* Resolution No. 2046 – Contributing to the Ross/West View Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) for 2012. .

* Request Board approval of the 2012 Minimum Municipal Obligation (MMO) Option 3 – using 1/1/11 AVR / 5% Police and 3% General Contribution / 5-yr. Smoothing.

* Request Board approval of the proposal from Lennon, Smith, Souleret Engineering proposal to provide engineering services for: 2012 Nighttime Flow Isolation Study/Cost Effectiveness Analysis – ALCOSAN Point-of-Connection A-68-00 – Township of Ross

* Approval of Public Works Bargaining Unit Agreement (11/1/2011 to 10/31/2015).
