Ross Township Police Blotter: Businesses Report 26 Bras and Fake Nails Stolen in Separate Incidents

Sunday, Sept. 18

A stolen Tribune-Review newspaper box was recovered at the intersection of West View Avenue and Bepler Avenue at 1:21 a.m.

Saturday, Sept. 17

A 61-year-old man reported the theft a table saw and a trailer hitch from a trailer parked on his property along Bascom Avenue.

Friday, Sept. 16

A woman was arrested after an employee of  reported the theft of $27 worth of fake nails at 6:26 p.m. An officer stopped a vehicle matching the description given by the employee and found four packages of fake nails in a shopping bag — along with a small amount of marijuana, a marijuana pipe, suboxone and a snorting straw.

Thursday, Sept. 15

A business at Ross Park Mall reported that an unknown person had removed 26 bras worth $1,052 without paying for them sometime between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 14

A 63-year-old woman reported a non-forced burglary of her residence along Bascom Avenue. According to the victim, someone entered her home through an open front window and took 20 $1 bills, a sapphire and diamond ring, a sapphire and diamond oval necklace, sapphire and diamond earrings, a diamond engagement ring and gold chains.

A shoe cleaning display and several products at were found damaged at about 8:22 p.m. after a report of a fight in the store. Charges for criminal mischief were going to be handled by a private complaint.

Tuesday, Sept. 13

Copper pipes from a structure along Schars Lane were reported stolen sometime between 10 a.m. Aug. 26 and 12:41 p.m. Tuesday.

A 30-year-old woman reported at 7:53 p.m. items were taken from her vehicle parked in the lot near the Ross Park Mall. Items missing included an iPad, perfume, audio and visual recordings and a backpack.
