Ross Woman Gets Prison Term For Fatal Hit-And-Run

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — A Ross woman is off to prison after pleading guilty to charges related to the hit-and-run death of a woman in January.

Erin Petroski, 39, of Ross, was sentenced to three to six years in prison and five years probation after pleading guilty to charges that included homicide by vehicle, accident involving death or personal injury and driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

Petroski caused the death of Elizabeth Griser, 31, of Shaler, who was struck on Babcock Boulevard near the Sheetz on Jan. 13 and later died from her injuries.

Township police identified Petroski's white Toyota Highlander from several nearby security cameras. Vehicle pieces found at the scene were from a Toyota Highlander and matched the damage to the vehicle.
