Sheetz Opens on Babcock Boulevard; Hands Over Keys

Fourty-four of the 47 employees are new hires.

The new 24-hour Sheetz at the corner of Babcock Boulevard and Cemetery Lane opened at 11 a.m. Wednesday following a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the handing over of the keys — symbolizing that the new convenience store and gas station will never again lock its doors.

"We had a decent turnout despite the weather," said Jackie Schaefers, the manager of the new Ross location.

The 5,000-square-foot building, at 3025 Babcock Boulevard, also includes a car wash and outdoor seating.
