Snow Day and Hurricane Sandy Forces North Hills to Change School Calendar, Kindergarten Registration
Students' spring break is being shortened by two days.

The following letter from North Hills School Superintendent Dr. Patrick Mannarino was posted on the district web site.
Recent weather conditions and cancelations due to inclement weather have warranted minor alterations to the 2012-13 school calendar and kindergarten registration appointments.
All North Hills School District students and staff will attend classes on March 28 and April 2. March 29 and April 1 will remain days off for students. However, April 1 will be the parent-teacher conference day for elementary buildings and professional development day for secondary staff originally slated for April 2.

Kindergarten registration has been rescheduled from April 2 to April 1. All kindergarten registration appointments currently scheduled on April 2 will be transferred to the same time slot on April 1. If this alteration presents an issue for your family, please contact your student’s elementary school to reschedule your student’s registration appointment.

- March 28 – Inclement weather make-up day from Oct. 30 cancelation (Day 4)
- March 29 – Spring Vacation - No school for students and staff
- April 1 – No school for students – Parent-teacher conference day for elementary buildings and professional development day for secondary staff
- April 2 – Inclement weather make-up day from March 6 cancelation (Day 3)
Although we are certain that students will enjoy spring vacation, our hope is that families are not inconvenienced by these revisions. We appreciate your patience and understanding in implementing these changes and thank you in advance for your cooperation.
