Sophie T. (Szmit) Groskinsky

Sophie T. (Szmit) Groskinsky, 93, of West View, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA June 23, 1918, she is the daughter of the late Ludwik and Aniela (Adamski) Szmit, and was the wife of the late Frederick W. Groskinsky.

She is also the mother of Judithanne (Greg) Musher; grandmother of Todd (Kimberly) Musher, Jessyka (John) Rafferty, Terry Musher and Josh Musher; great-grandmother of Cody and Madison and Kerrigan and Brennin; sister of the late Walter, Louis, John, Frank and Michael Szmit. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Family will welcome friends 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the ., 388 Center Ave., West View. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. in on Tuesday. Interment will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
