Up to the Test? North Hills Engineering Students Design Weight Bearing Cardboard Bridges
Each student created a design, cut it out on a laser engraver and assembled their bridge.
North Hills High School students enrolled in Engineering, Drawing and Design 2 recently designed corrugated cardboard bridges that withstood more than 60 pounds of weight.
Each student created a design, cut it out on a laser engraver and assembled their bridge.
Students then tested their device with weight hung from the center of each bridge to determine how many pounds of live load the bridge would support.
