Video: West View Halloween Parade Draws Zombies, Frogs & a Robot

West View's annual Halloween parade took place Monday, with participants parading down Perry Highway from Highland Avenue to Center Avenue. 

Nearly 1,000 people turned out for the event, about 700 to 800 in costume, estimated West View Borough Councilor Kim Steele, who also serves as chairman of the recreation committee.

A judging panel marked their favorites and awarded prizes. Winners are as follows: 

First Place

Pre-school: #450, Addison Munzphelps, dressed as a bubble gum machine.

Kindergarten: #509, Daniel Johnston, dressed as a can of pop. 

First grade: #318, Matt Driscoll, dressed as a mummy.

Reminder: West View's Trick-or-Treat night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, which will also be the same night and time for Ross Township's Trick-or-Treat night.
