Volunteers Needed to Prepare North Park's Pfundstein Trail for Winter

The Pittsburgh Trails Advocacy Group will hold a workday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, to prepare North Park’s Pfundstein Trail for winter, according to the Allegheny County Parks Department. 

This will be the last workday of the year for this trail. Those interested in volunteering should meet at the Wisconsin Shelter on North Ridge Road.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, sturdy shoes, water and a snack.

The Pfundstein Trail is a recent 2.1-mile addition to the Ridge Trail, named in honor of bicyclist Stefan Pfundstein.
