West View Borough Council Appoints Burchell as President, Schell Vice President
Three members re-elected in November were also sworn-in to their seats Tuesday.

West View Borough Council members Donald Mikec, M. Kimberly Steele and Barry Schell were officially sworn-in Tuesday during the council's re-organization meeting.
Steele, 58, a legislative assistant to State Rep. Joe Markosek, is serving her first full term on the council. She was appointed in 2009 to fill a vacancy and was elected to finish out the term in 2010.

Schell, 71, is serving his fourth term. The former director of building and grounds at , where he graduated in 1959, Schell is now retired.
Mikec, 55, is serving his second term on the borough council. Before being elected to the seat in 2008, he spent six years on the West View Planning Commission. He is a former sales representative for Kraft Foods.

Also during Tuesday's meeting, Councilman Ralph Burchell was appointed as the president of council, Schell was appointed vice president.
