West View Man Faces Charges in Ross Hit and Run that Injured Woman
The 72-year-old victim is being treated for a broken leg and other serious injuries caused when a Kia Optima sedan hit her on Babcock Boulevard.

arrested Matt Bomba, 24, of West View, late Wednesday in the hit and run accident that injured a 72-year-old woman Friday night in front of at 3382 Babcock Boulevard.
Bomba told police he was the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim, and he was cooperative and apologetic, according to Detective Brian Kohlhepp.
Bomba was arrested after his white Kia Optima was spotted on Ohio River Boulevard by two Avalon Police Department officers.

Kohlhepp said Bomba will face a felony charge of accidents involving death or personal injury, and driving a vehicle at safe speeds, a summary offense.
The victim is still recovering well, Kohlhepp said.

According to police, Bomba hit the older woman, who was walking, about 10:30 p.m. Friday. The victim, whose name has not been released, suffered a broken leg, a serious cut and other "substantial injuries."
